Are you an avid skier or snowboarder, eagerly anticipating your next trip to Palisades Tahoe this winter season? Well, you’re in for a pleasant surprise because Palisades Tahoe is introducing a brand new reservation-based parking system to help ease the traffic congestion during peak times on regional roadways.
As Palisades Tahoe gears up for the upcoming winter season, the company is implementing this innovative parking system that will require parking reservations on weekends and holiday periods. Here’s everything you need to know.
Free Parking Reservations
The good news is that the vast majority of parking spots that require a reservation will be absolutely FREE. Palisades Tahoe wants to make it convenient for visitors to plan their visit, and they’ve got a system to accommodate different schedules.
Starting every Tuesday, FREE parking reservations for the coming weekend will be made available. And to cater to various schedules, Palisades Tahoe will release 50% of the inventory at 12 p.m. and the remaining 50% at 7 p.m.
This way, you can secure your spot without breaking the bank. So, whether it’s a spontaneous weekend getaway or a well-planned holiday trip, Palisades Tahoe has it covered.
Paid Reservations for Early Birds
For those who prefer to plan well in advance, there’s a special option. Visitors can reserve a spot for $30, which is a great deal if you want to lock in your parking space for busy days, like Christmas or New Year’s.
Paid reservations will be available as soon as inventory goes live, and they ensure peace of mind when it comes to parking. But if you’re more of a last-minute planner, the free reservations are there for you on the Tuesday before your visit.
Carpooling Encouraged
At Palisades Tahoe, they are all about being environmentally conscious and promoting carpooling. So, if you’re traveling with three or more people, there are dedicated close-in carpool spots. Visitors are encouraged to reserve with friends and family in advance, but remember that reservations will still be required for the vehicle.
Midweek Bliss
Mondays through Fridays are a different story. Parking during these weekdays is FREE at both Palisades and Alpine, and it’s first come, first served. No reservations are required, except for a few holiday blackout dates.
This is the perfect option if you prefer quieter, less crowded slopes. Just show up and enjoy your midweek adventure without any parking hassles.
Saturdays, Sundays & Select Holidays
On Saturdays, Sundays, and select holidays, reservations are a must. To make it easier for you, FREE parking reservations for the coming weekend will open every Tuesday, with inventory released at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Remember, parking is always free with no reservations required on Monday through Friday, with just a few holiday blackout dates to keep in mind.
Advanced Paid Reservations
For those who like to plan well in advance, advanced paid reservations are the best choice. At just $30 per spot, per day, they’re an excellent way to secure your parking spot for busy weekends or holidays.
So, if you want to guarantee a parking space for Christmas, be sure to grab a paid reservation when they become available in October. But if you’re more flexible with your plans, the free reservations are also there for you on the Tuesday prior to your visit.
Reserved Paid Parking and Reserved Free Parking
Keep in mind that all paid parking reservations for the entire season will be made available on Palisades Tahoe’s website in the Fall. Prices start at $30 per space, and visitors can hold up to 10 reservations at any given time. As reservations are canceled or used, additional reservations will become available, so you won’t miss out.
For free parking reservations, remember that they are released every Tuesday, with 50% available at 12:00 p.m. and the remaining 50% at 7:00 p.m. for the upcoming weekend or holiday period. Stay tuned for more details on how to book your reservation.
With this new reservation-based parking system, Palisades Tahoe is committed to making visitors’ winter adventures even more enjoyable and stress-free. Whether you’re a planner or a spontaneous adventurer, they’ve got you covered. So, get ready to hit the slopes and make the most of your winter season at Palisades Tahoe
